Mike continued to look around, and said ‘nice – very nice – much better than my little apartment, that’s for sure’ Chen replied ‘yeah – I found this place some time ago in a bankruptcy sale – was being sold with everything in it – furniture, books, appliances, everything – took me weeks to go through the place getting rid of old clothes, even old food in the pantry and refrigerator – and I still haven’t gotten to the attic – so who knows what’s up there!’
As they walked further into the house, Chen said ‘let me show you where the critical items are – kitchen and fridge are back there, feel free to help yourself if you get thirsty or need munchies during the night – the hall bath is over there, and the main bath and my bedroom are back here’ – Mike followed along, and looked into Chen’s bedroom – nice and large, the bed was unmade – but the rest of the room was neat and tidy.
