Standing up, she paid the lady and took one more look at herself in the mirror. Careful. Careful. “You see, the more symmetrical a person’s face is, the more they are perceived to be pretty… It’s easy to deduce, humans instinctively know this. “Just how smart are you anyways Pris?” Pixel asked, changing the subject. He pulled at Sarah’s top, and pulled it up over her head. “I couldn’t watch him treat you like that…” Pixel said fervently, “I hope he still hurts.”
Every cell phone, on every person in the crowded lobby, began to ring. Even now she was going over every line of code, every key stroke, looking for errors. “Owwwwwww-” Sarah cried out. [i]No loose ends indeed…
She had found the apartment complex easily enough. She didn’t want Sarah to see how ugly she was. On her phone, Pixel typed a simple message, then deleted it. They had barely spoken more than two words to one another since. Pixel fought back the cries inside of her, and gulped down air, breathing hard.
